Link To TempBuddy

Use these instructions to link a Candidate to TempBuddy.

Note: The below steps to link a Candidate to TempBuddy are taken assuming that the Candidate record does not already exist in TempBuddy. TempBuddy validates a Candidate record with the Email address; if a duplicate email address is found, TempBuddy does not create a new record and instead links with the existing one and returns the TempBuddy ID.

  1. Make sure the following information on the candidate record are available in order to link the Candidate to TempBuddy:

    • Candidate First and Last Name
    • Candidate Availability: to map to TempBuddy Candidate Status Name
    • Candidate Address: Address Line1, City, State and Zip Code
    • Candidate Phone - (Order of preference – Mobile > Home)
    • Email Address (Email 1)
    • Candidate Username for TempBuddy (Candidate email address)
    • Job Category
  2. Click the Link button corresponding to the TempBuddy field to link the Candidate to TempBuddy. A pop-up prompting you to confirm displays.

  3. Click Yes.

    A check flag is set next to the Link button and a Candidate journal is created (that includes the TempBuddy ID), if the candidate is linked successfully.

  4. Click the icon to view the candidate record in TempBuddy. You will need to enter valid TempBuddy login credentials in order to view the record; if already logged in to TempBuddy, the record is directly presented.

  5. Once linked, clicking the Link button will initiate an update process to TempBuddy and update the following candidate's information (if updated in Adapt):

    • First, Middle, and Last Name
    • Address Line 1, Address Line 2, City, State, Postal Code
    • Phone Number: Mobile or Home
    • Email Address 1

    Each of the above contact information updated via Adapt creates a Journal entry in the candidate's record with From and To values, date, time, and user information.

    While Adapt is the system of records for Candidate, information can also be updated via TempBuddy. Any updates made to the following information from the TempBuddy app is updated to Adapt and creates an entry in Candidate's Journal with the From and To values, date, time, and user information:

    • First, Middle, and Last Name
    • Address - updates Address Line 1, City, State, Postal Code and Country in Adapt
    • Phone Number: updates Mobile field in Adapt
    • Email Address: updates Email Address 1 in Adapt
