Delete Client

Under certain conditions (see below) and with the proper security clearance, you can remove a Client record that is no longer needed. This is helpful if you accidentally enter a duplicate Client record or if a record was entered unintentionally.

You may not delete a Client with the following associations:

  • Contact with associations (e.g. Web Profile, Meetings). In this case, you are prompted to delete the Contact before deleting the Client.
  • Opportunity
  • Job

You may delete a Client with the following association:

  • Contact with no associations. In this case, both the Client and the Contact are deleted.
  1. With the Client you want to delete displayed, click the Delete Client workflow.
  2. A Confirmation message displays asking if you are sure you want to delete the record. Click Yes.
  3. If the record has one of the associations above that prevent deletion, a message displays noting that the record cannot be deleted and the association which prevents its deletion.
  4. If the record does not have any of the above associations, the view of the record changes to note that the record has been deleted (archived).
