LinkedIn Recruiter System Connect

Adapt allows cross-communication between LinkedIn and the Adapt software.

In addition, Bullhorn needs to set up some information in order for you to use the LinkedIn Integration. Please contact Bullhorn Support for more information.

  • Candidate 1-Click Export (from LinkedIn)
  • Candidate Job Assignments (View in LinkedIn)
  • Candidate Interview and/or Job Status (View in LinkedIn)
  • The LinkedIn Social Profile
  • Candidate 1-Click Export Deletion (from LinkedIn)

The LinkedIn Social Profile allows you to automatically search and link the record to your existing LinkedIn Profile. If you do not have a LinkedIn Recruiter License, you may choose to add the LinkedIn URL information for the record within the Social Networking workflow.

By hovering over , a flyout window displays the LinkedIn profile. If no link exists, a LinkedIn search is presented instead. If you enter the LinkedIn profile via the LinkedIn search, the link to the LinkedIn profile is captured and linked back into Adapt. If you clear the link from the Social Network workflow, the LinkedIn link will also be cleared.

To see those candidates/contacts for which a LinkedIn Social Profile exists, you can add a LinkedIn column to any Candidate or Contact search via the formatter. If the icon displays in the column, a link exists. If the column is blank, no link exists.

Automatic Linking

When adding a new Contact or Candidate, Adapt automatically checks the email address entered and attempts to match it with an existing LinkedIn Profile. If a match is found, the system automatically creates a link to the LinkedIn Profile.

Bulk Linking

For existing records, the Candidate Export utility will perform a scan every 10 minutes (based on the set frequency; could be modified at client request) and link all the records in Adapt to the LinkedIn profile.

Badge

Linked Candidates / Contacts display a link (badge) in LinkedIn Recruiter search results.

You can use the link to access information about the record in Adapt.

Stub Profile

Recruiters can source potential Candidates by sending an inMail invitation to a person found from a search and asking them to share their information. If the sourced Candidate accepts the invitation and elects to share their information, a Stub Profile is created within Adapt. If the sourced Candidate already exists in Adapt, the system will update the record. In each case, a Journal entry is created.

A Stub Profile is a Candidate record in Adapt with minimal information (Name, Email Address, Phone Number). Once Adapt creates a stub profile, the new record is linked to the LinkedIn profile and a badge is visible on the LinkedIn record. A Journal entry is made for the creation of the Candidate as well as the InMail acceptance. The Candidate Source on a Stub Profile is "LinkedIn".

Note: The system typically polls LinkedIn every 30 minutes (contact Bullhorn Support if you wish to change this polling interval). Therefore, it may be up to 30 minutes before the Stub Profile is created in Adapt.

InMail

The LinkedIn Recruiter has the ability to communicate with their Candidate via InMail. When the record is linked, the InMails are captured in the Journal of the Adapt record.

Note: The system typically polls LinkedIn every 30 minutes (contact Bullhorn Support if you wish to change this polling interval). Therefore, it may be up to 30 minutes before the InMail is captured in the Journal.

Recruiter Notes

LinkedIn Recruiter has the ability to add Notes to the LinkedIn record. When the record is linked, the Notes are captured in the Journal of the Adapt record.

If the LinkedIn Recruiter subsequently deletes these notes from LinkedIn, these will also be removed from Adapt.

Note: The system typically polls LinkedIn every 30 minutes (contact Bullhorn Support if you wish to change this polling interval). Therefore, it may be up to 30 minutes before the Note is captured in the Journal.

Unlinking

A linked record may be unlinked by accessing LinkedIn and selecting "Not the Right Profile".

Candidate Deletion

After an export event occurs on behalf of a particular Candidate (from LinkedIn to Adapt), that Candidate may choose to close their LinkedIn member account. When this happens Adapt will receive a notice and will remove the link from Candidate record and record a Journal entry. A task will be created to alert the user / recruiter that the Candidate has deleted their LinkedIn Profile and permission should be obtained from the Candidate to continue processing the data within.

Note: An Internal Notification is available in Administration > Manage Notifications to provide additional information.
