Position relates to the direct-hire or full-time side of the staffing business.
Position exists in a many-to-one relationship with order. There may be many positions to one order. For example, a company may place an order for 3 office workers. In this case, there is one order and 3 positions.
Relationship Between Order and Position
If order is general, position is specific. A position is the job itself. When an employee is found for a job, they are placed in a position. The information on a position defaults from the order, but because it is separate, can be individually edited. For example, you may choose to pay someone more or less on one position than on another.
Placed positions are the lifeblood of your business. StaffSuite makes it easy to track the various activities that surround a position and fill the job with the best (and most appropriate) employee. In addition, powerful profitability features allow you to tweak billing rates to achieve the highest margin while creating new business.
Bond International Software also understands that it is vital to add positions as quickly as possible. In addition to the Add Wizard which walks you through the position information, much of the data defaults from the order. This speeds up the time needed to add a position, but can be edited, if needed.
Like an order, a position can be duplicated. Thus, instead of adding 10 different positions for temporary office workers, you could simply add one position and duplicate it 9 times. In fact the Add Wizard does exactly that. If you tell the Add Wizard to create 100 positions, it does so by defaulting the information from the order into each position. If no changes are necessary, you can add those 100 positions in seconds.
Working with Positions
You can add, edit, duplicate and delete positions. You can track the entire employee selection process (Present Employee, Schedule Interview, etc.) and evaluations of the employee by the company (and vice-versa). Activities such as QC Calls are easily tracked. You can place and replace positions. And the best part is that StaffSuite keeps track of all activities forming a historical workflow for each position.
In addition, various windows allow you to see basic information about the position, as well as special instructions and desired preferences. Orientation needs, work schedule, and phone numbers are easily accessible giving you the information you need to make quick decisions concerning the position.
