TimeKeeper

How to Use OnLine Help

The TimeKeeper Time and Attendance module is a web-based timesheet management system that streamlines the timesheet entry and approval process to improve payroll/billing efficiency and increase the profitability of a branch. StaffSuite interfaces with the TimeKeeper web application in an ASP environment to send assignment information including company, company rep and employee records to TimeKeeper, and later retrieve the finished and approved timesheets for payroll processing.  TimeKeeper allows an employee to enter timesheet and expense information online and sends email to notify the customer contact to login and approve the timesheet online. In addition to entering timesheets, employee resources can list their job placement history, and view their timesheet history. Customer reps can approve or reject timesheets, make comments that are attached to a timesheet, and run reports (for Group timesheets, the company rep completes timesheets for employees and submits them). Staffing service reps can control permissions, change passwords, designate approvers' permissions and run reports.

WorldLink Enhances the Functionality

StaffSuite's WorldLink module can also be leveraged with TimeKeeper to provide one login access to both modules. And the addition of WorldLink allows the advanced functionality of one click performance evaluation of an employee at the same time the timesheet is being approved.

Configuring StaffSuite for TimeKeeper

When visualizing how data is "pushed" from StaffSuite to TimeKeeper, it may be helpful to think of a filled assignment as the object being pushed, and the employee, company and company rep as "attachments" that are dragged along behind the assignment. Each element has requirements that prepare the employee, company, company reps and assignment records to be "dragged" to TimeKeeper. (The exception to this rule is that changes to the TimeKeeper/WorldLink User ID or Password (employees and company reps) are automatically pushed to TimeKeeper the next time any records are sent, even if they are not currently associated with an active assignment.) If any of the records associated with an assignment being dragged do not meet the requirements for transmission to TimeKeeper, they act as an anchor to keep the assignment from being sent until they are properly configured.
