When creating a User-Defined Garnishment or Child Support formula OR when creating an Involuntary Deduction Handling method, the system prompts for variables, which are used within the formula to define the data that is being added, subtracted, multiplied, divided, or compared.
When you click in the Variable field, the drop list shows a large number of possible options. These options are defined below:
All Withholdings: For a work period ending, this is the sum of all withholdings (Federal, FICA, State, etc.).
Gross Earnings: For a work period ending, this is the sum of the pay amounts on the timesheets being processed for PayBill Codes flagged as Payroll Taxable and flagged to Allow Deductions.
Gross Payments: For a work period ending, this is the sum of the pay amounts on the timesheets being processed for PayBill Codes flagged as Payroll Taxable OR Not Payroll Taxable and flagged to Allow Deductions.
All Withholding Excluding Worker Compensation: For a work period ending, this is the sum of all withholdings excluding those associated with Workers Compensation.
Line: The results of the computation performed on the Line number specified in the next constant field.
All Regular: The sum of all Regular category deductions for the same deduction period for which the current deduction is being calculated.
All 401k: The sum of all 401k category deductions for the same deduction period for which the current deduction is being calculated.
All 125 No Cash: The sum of all 125 No Cash category deductions for the same deduction period for which the current deduction is being calculated.
All 125 Cash: The sum of all 125 Cash category deductions for the same deduction period for which the current deduction is being calculated.
All Pretax Deductions: The sum of all 401k, 125 No Cash, and 125 cash deductions for the same deduction period for which the current deduction is being calculated.
All Federal Levies: The sum of all Levy category deductions calculated thus far for the same deduction period for which the current deduction is being calculated.
All Garnishments: The sum of all Garnishment category deductions calculated thus far for the same deduction period for which the current deduction is being calculated.
All Child Support: The sum of all Child Support category deductions calculated thus far for the same deduction period for which the current deduction is being calculated.
All Involuntary Deductions: The sum of all Levy, Garnishment, and Child Support category deductions (including the current deduction) for the same deduction period for which the current deduction is being calculated.
All Voluntary Deductions: The sum of all Regular, 401k, 125 No Cash, and 125 Cash category deductions for the same deduction period for which the current deduction is being calculated.
This Deduction Code: The sum of the deductions for the specified deduction code for the same deduction period for which the current deduction is being calculated.
Federal: The sum of all Federal Withholding Tax for the same deduction period for which the current deduction is being calculated.
FICA: The sum of all FICA Withholding Tax for the same deduction period for which the current deduction is being calculated.
Medicare: The sum of all Medicare Withholding Tax for the same deduction period for which the current deduction is being calculated.
Federal EIC: The sum of all Federal Earned Income Credit earnings for the same deduction period for which the current deduction is being calculated.
State: The sum of all State Withholding Tax for the same deduction period for which the current deduction is being calculated.
State EIC: The sum of all State Earned Income Credit earnings for the same deduction period for which the current deduction is being calculated.
SDI: The sum of all State Disability Insurance Tax withholdings for the same deduction period for which the current deduction is being calculated.
SUI: The sum of all State Unemployment Insurance Tax withholdings for the same deduction period for which the current deduction is being calculated.
Workers Compensation: The sum of all Workers Compensation Tax withholdings for the same deduction period for which the current deduction is being calculated.
County: The sum of all County Tax withholdings for the same deduction period for which the current deduction is being calculated.
County OPT: The sum of all County Occupational Privilege Tax withholdings for the same deduction period for which the current deduction is being calculated.
City: The sum of all City Tax withholdings for the same deduction period for which the current deduction is being calculated.
City OPT: The sum of all City Occupational Privilege Tax withholdings for the same deduction period for which the current deduction is being calculated.
County SD: The sum of all County School District Tax withholdings for the same deduction period for which the current deduction is being calculated.
City SD: The sum of all City School District Tax withholdings for the same deduction period for which the current deduction is being calculated.
