Bank Account

 

Identifies the information that was added to the Bank Account field when the bank account was added. Since Bank Account is a normal text field, it might have been used for a myriad of purposes. However, in most cases, it identifies the purpose for which the bank account is being used. For example, Temporary Payroll, Internal Payroll, etc. On the other hand, some users like to use the Bank Account field to enter the number of the bank account.

 

 

Bank Name

Identifies the information that was added to the Bank Name field when the bank account was added. This is the name of the financial institution with which you are doing business.

 

 

Routing #

Identifies the information that was added to the Routing # field (for Direct Deposit purposes) when the bank account was added. This is a unique, nine-digit number provided by your bank which identifies the banking institution.

 

 

Account #

Identifies the information that was added to the Account # field (for Direct Deposit purposes) when the bank account was added. This indicates the bank account number from which to withdraw payroll monies.

 

 

Status

Indicates whether the bank account is active or inactive. An active account is one that you currently have open and can write checks from. An inactive account is one that you have had in the past, but is currently closed or you do not want anyone writing checks from the account.

 

 

Dir Dep Status

Indicates the direct deposit status of the bank account. If direct deposit is enabled for the account, it will display "Active". If direct deposit is not enabled for the account, it will display "Inactive".

 

 

Suite/Building, Street Address, City, State, Zip Code

The address of the bank account (from the Bank Account record).

 

 

New

Click this button if you want to add a new bank account.

Edit

Click this button if you want to edit information on an existing bank account. In order for this button to become active, you must have selected a bank account on the grid above (by clicking on it).

Remove

Click this button if you want to remove an existing bank account. In order for this button to become active, you must have selected a bank account on the grid above (by clicking on it).

A bank account can be deleted only if it has not been used to create balance forwards, manual checks, regular payroll, or direct deposit payroll.
