How to Use OnLine Help

Post Batch Control allows you to send information to the database so that the payroll and billing processes can create checks and invoices. In addition, information is sent to the Sales Analysis History file.

NOTE: For those recapturing ACA costs, the ACA Fee is calculated during the Post Timesheet process.

Posting a Batch

  1. In the Batch Type field, use to select the type of transaction you want to post.

  2. All batches that have a status of Proofed for the type of transaction selected are displayed in the Batch Post Selection Grid.

  3. Rows listed in black indicate that you can select the batch for posting. Rows listed in gray may not be selected for posting.

  4. Click the box in the Select column to choose a batch or batches to post. A checkbox appears in the box to designate that the batch in that row will be proofed. Clicking on an already checked box will uncheck (deselect) it. You may select one, some, or all of the available batches.

  5. Once you are satisfied with the batches you have selected, click .

  6. The Progress Bar indicates the status of the posting process.

  7. The first thing that Posting process does is proof the batch. When the Proof is complete, a Hash Totals window displays. Check to make sure the amounts listed match the actual amounts entered into the batch.  

  8. The Proof creates up to three reports which are located in your PayBill\Batch Proof\XXXXX folder (where XXXXX indicates the type of transactions being proofed). Remember, the reports are identified by the Process ID number, so be sure to make note of it (it can be found on the Hash Totals window):

  9. Batch Proof Register details the transactions that were proofed with the batch. For more information on this report, see your PayBill Reporting Manual.

  10. Batch Proof Diagnostic Register details all diagnostic message produced by the system during the proof process. For more information on this report, see your PayBill Reporting Manual.

  11. Proof Journal summarizes information about the proofed batch. For more information on this report, see your PayBill Reporting Manual.

  1. If you are satisfied that the batch contains accurate information, click . If you would like to edit the batch before proceeding, click .

  2. If you select to Post, the Progress Bar indicates the status of the posting process.

  3. When the Posting process is complete, you will receive a message noting the number of transactions that have been posted.

  4. The Posting process creates up to three reports which are located in your PayBill\Batch Post\XXXXX folder (where XXXXX indicates the type of transactions being posted). Remember, the reports are identified by the Process ID number, so be sure to make note of it (it can be found in the Batch Post Selection Title Bar):
